For thousands of years, and to this day, the people lived in the Pacific Coast Range of Southern Oregon, along the banks of the South Umpqua River and its primary feeder stream, the Cow Creek. This homeland was wild, remote and resplendent. The Tribe was nourished by the fall Salmon runs, sweet huckleberry patches, abundant wild onions and chinquapin nuts. THE TRIBE IS PROUD TO OFFER YOU THIS HIGH QUALITY OREGON PRODUCT MADE IN OUR FEDERALLY INSPECTED CANYONVILLE PRODUCTION FACILITY. Umpqua Indian Foods makes our jerky the way the Indians did. We use USDA choice Pectoral Meat, & it is all hand trimmed and sliced. The secret recipes are all hand measured, for individual batches, the hand cut pieces are left in the brine overnight, and then air dried. The dried jerky is then hand cut to size, put into pouches and vacuum sealed for freshness. We're proud that the Oregon Beef Council stated that many of their visitors at the Oregon state fair commented that the Umpqua Indian jerky was the best All-Beef jerky they had ever tasted.
